Sightseeing

If you want to explore Berlin’s alternative side ...

... grab a paddle and join us for a relaxed (and slightly splashy) tour through the heart of Neukölln and Kreuzberg – two of the city’s most colourful and character-filled districts.

We start off at our beach bar CANOA BEACH on Sonneninsel and paddle from the Neuköllner Schifffahrtskanal along the Landwehrkanal all the way to a beautiful stretch of the River Spree. Along the way, you’ll cruise past Görlitzer Ufer, Lohmühleninsel at the Oberschleuse, and plenty of classic 'Kreuzkölln' scenery. Expect street art, houseboats, hidden corners, and the occasional curious swan. It’s multicultural, creative, a little chaotic – in other words, very Berlin.

Our guides mix surprising historical facts with the kind of stories you probably won’t find in a guidebook. Think less “dry history lecture,” more “did you know…?” with a smile.

On our Spree detour, we paddle past Berlin icons like Molecule Man, the impressive Oberbaum Bridge, and the old Spreespeicher warehouses. At Osthafen, we spot the remains of a former border control facility from the days when Berlin was divided – a quiet reminder of the city’s not-so-distant past. Before heading back, we get up close to the Oberbaum Bridge – perfect photo moment (yes, we’ll give you a second to pose).

After the tour, you can reward your paddling efforts with a cold drink and something tasty at our beach bar. You’ve earned it.

The Sightseeing tour from CANOA BERLIN is ideal for anyone who wants to combine a bit of light adventure with sightseeing – and see Berlin from a perspective that doesn’t involve traffic lights or crowded pavements.
